Welcome from our Headteacher, Mrs Wendy Wilson

Thank you for visiting the St. Anne’s School website. This is a tremendously exciting time for everyone associated with the school, as we go from strength to strength as part of the wider federation of schools in Guernsey.

At St. Anne’s School, we believe in the power of education to change young people’s lives and we aim to be inclusive and cater for the needs of all of our pupils.

We will achieve this with inspirational teaching, excellent pastoral care and a wide range of extra-curricular activities that will enable our pupils to become well-rounded, confident young people who have an impact on the world.

Excellence is a thread that runs throughout St. Anne’s School and as the only school on the island of Alderney, we are also committed to excellence in everything we do, to meet the needs of our pupils who are an integral part of our unique community. We believe the school is at the heart of the community, with the community at its heart.

Our mission statement, 'Great oaks from little acorns grow', highlights our commitment to ensuring our pupils achieve the best academic standards possible for them as individuals.

We celebrate achievement in all its forms and aim to help your child define what excellence looks like for them. We believe that this can only be done together in partnership, bringing together the combined expertise of our partners in Guernsey, you as parents and of course, the desire of our pupils to achieve wonderful outcomes.

We will work hard to ensure that our pupils feel a strong sense of belonging and pride both in their school and our local community and are proud to be St. Anne’s School pupils as global citizens.

Our Vision

At St. Anne’s School, we asked ‘What should the world of our learners look like as a result of our work?’ The answer- Our learners are 21st century global citizens, moving at a fast-pace towards a hi-tech sustainable future. Our work at St Anne’s has to provide the strong foundation to help them navigate this and prepare them for success, well-being and happiness.

Our vision is ambitious and aspirational. Working at the heart of our community, we are a truly unique all through 3-19 school and we believe that our vision should be at the heart of what we do, every day. We aim to nourish our learners to grow into ‘great oaks’ from their beginnings as ‘little acorns.’
