Key Stages 3 and 4

Key Stage 3 includes Years 7, 8 and 9. Key Stage 4 includes Year 10 and 11. All pupils continue to follow the National Curriculum (Guernsey) and have access to a broad and balanced curriculum in which St. Anne’s builds on and extends the work done in the Juniors as well as adding other subjects which will develop increased understanding and new skills

Key Stage 3 pupils follow courses in:

•Geography
•History
•French
•ICT
 
•Technology
•P.E.
•Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE)
•Drama
•Art
•Music

 

Some careers advice is also introduced in Year 9 (13 year olds) and Spanish in Year 7.

Key Stage 4 in Years 10 and 11 examination courses begin and these run alongside vocational options. All pupils follow courses in:

•Maths
•Science
•PSHE
 
•P.E.
•Careers
•R.E.
•ICT.

 

In addition, option subjects are chosen from:

•Catering
•P.E.
•French
•Business Studies
 
•Art
•Design Technology
•Humanities (History, Geography)

 

The range of options is determined by demand and by staffing and timetabling restrictions. During Year 10 pupils all undertake some work experience and in Year 11 some pupils may follow a more work-related curriculum.
